2012 KDNA REP COACH PROFILES

Jenny Donnelly – 11 & Under

Our first member of the panel is Jenny Donnelly. Born in Christchurch NZ, and still a current player, Jenny has been a netballer since she was 8 years old. Jenny was part of the rep program in Canterbury, where she worked her way up to playing premier league. Since moving to Melbourne, Jenny was identified as one of our talented club coaches. This is Jenny’s second year with KDNA and we are glad to have her back as one of our 11/U coaches.

Claire Cummack - 11 & Under A former GA, Claire Cummack also joins us for her second year as a rep coach. Claire has been a dedicated club coach for the past 4 years and is no stranger when it comes to the various pressures of being a netball parent. Claire has two daughters that are still moving their way through our program and is fully aware of what skills our junior athlete’s need coming through the ranks.
Hanna Russell - 11 & Under There is no better example of someone who has been through the playing ranks here at Kingston. Hannah Russell was first selected to represent Kingston as an Under 11s player back in 2003. Since then she was able to work her way to being part of the first Kingston Blues team. She has been coaching at club level for the past 6 years and is now ready to make her mark as a rep coach. Hannah feels that it’s time to give something back to the program, and so in 2012 she will be our apprentice coach in the junior area. Welcome to the coaching panel Hannah.

Louis Tsomaropoulos – Head Coach

13 & Under, 13 & Under Development

Louis is our Head Coach and one of our 13/U squad coaches in 2012. A talented State and Australian Men’s netball player himself, Louis is back for his sixth consecutive year with KDNA. Louis knows first hand what it takes to reach the highest level. Louis’ focus as Head Coach will be continuing to produce talented, home grown athletes in the junior age groups, while strengthening the senior representation to extend the rep player pathway.
Marilyn McGraw - 13 & Under

After a year as an apprentice coach, Marilyn McGaw returns as one of our under 13/U squad coaches. Prior to that Marilyn has coached at club level for 7 years. Marilyn and I will be working with the 13/U squad, and if trials are anything to go by, we’re extremely excited to be working with a talented group of girls.

Rob Whittaker – 15 & Under

Rob joined the rep program through one our clubs and has progressed through the Under 11s, 13s and now 15s for his second year. Those who have had Rob will know that he is renowned for some of the most unique drills, which all of us are in owe of !
Airley Broomfield - 15 & Under We are glad to see Airley back at Kingston as one of our 15/U coaches. As a player, Airley is an exceptional role model for our netballers striving to reach the next level; she has participated in Academy, Henderson and VNL (both 19/U and Division 1). Airley has coached at a number of associations and can also draw upon her rowing credentials.

Rachel Edmond – Open

Rachel joins our 15/U coaching panel as an assistant coach, and will work across a number of areas in 2012. We are fortunate that Rachel has a long history with KDNA as a player, umpire and coach. We are hoping to groom her into a talented squad coach for 2013!
Kelly Hynes - 17 & Under Kelly Hynes will be at the helm of our only 17/U side. Kelly has been coaching netball for over ten years, with 2012 to be her third consecutive year at the 17/U rep level. Kelly prides herself on gaining as much coaching experience as possible, and was the Henderson assistant coach last year.  Kelly continues to play netball in a competitive social team, but has also been rep and state league player in the past.
Trent Morrison - Open We welcome Trent Morrison for his first year at Kingston. Trent is an experienced umpire and has been a player for the past 11 years, five of which has been at the state level participating in various Men’s competitions. Trent is an agile mid courter, his speed making him a nuisance to play against. Trent joins us from the country league where he has coached for the past four years and in 2012 is our Open coach.

Reunite, update and communicate with all past, present & future players, parents & officials.
